You may have flipped the calendar page to September, but summer is not over yet. Look at the evening news to check out the weather across the country and you’ll see that many areas are experiencing higher temperatures than recorded in August. We’re just not ready break open the cellar door and drink a room temperature red wine, so we’ll keep pouring rosé until sweater weather hits. So here are a few of the wines we’ll be serving:

Otañon Vetiver is made from grapes grown on iron rich soils on Monte Yerga in Spain’s Rioja region.  It's sunset pink in color with aromas of freshly picked blackberries and red raspberries and it has great body in the mouth with ripe fruit flavors that wash across your tongue. Drink by itself or with your favorite cheese.

Domaine de La Vallongue Garrigues is from the petit town of Eygalieres in France. This delicious wine comes from 75 acres of organically grown grapes and is pale pink in color. It has an enticing aroma of red summer fruits and is generous and round on the palate. Think of serving this delightful wine the next time you prepare a mariscada.

Jean Luc Colombo Rosé is also from the south of France. Pale blush in color, this easy drinking pink is perfect to watch the sun set over the Mediterranean or over your neighbor’s house.

Duboeuf Syrah Rosé Vins de Pays d'Oc has enticing aromas of freshly picked strawberries. It’s creamy on the palate with a lingering finish. We love drinking this delicious wine on our local beach with our toes in the sand.

Faustino VII Tempranillo Rosé from Rioja is made from Spain’s famous Tempranillo grapes. It's deeper pink in color and has notes of red plums, strawberries, and red raspberries in the bouquet.  It has good body and a firm structure, so think of serving this wine with a juicy, grilled steak.

Marques de Caceres Rosé is coral pink with aromas of anise, white flowers, and cassis. It’s juicy in the mouth with a big finish and is a nice accompaniment to chuletas de cerdo.

Freixenet Brut Rosé Cava is the perfect wine to serve if you’re in the mood for a little bubbly. It’s pale pink with tiny bubbles that tickle your nose. It’s great to drink on its own or with a plate of jamon y queso

Cune Rosado from Rioja has bright aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and pink flowers. It’s made from 100% Tempranillo grapes and has a balanced finish.
