Because you weren’t on Facebook enough, here’s another reason to log on: you can now order delivery right through the site, without ever leaving your Newsfeed.

On the app a select few of you will see a blue burger icon (on the site, it’s full color), click and it takes you to a list of supported restaurants wherever you are and you can filter it by cuisine, price, and rating. The new tool comes to you via Slice and Delivery.com, both of which partnered with Facebook last year.

The service is only available to small number of Facebook users right now but it’s set to roll out in the near future, probably when they work out the bugs (TechCrunch reported delivery hasn’t been seamless).

And you thought food pictures were annoying before – we can see this turning into a “just click the picture that your mom’s cousin’s hairdresser posted of her rainbow bagel with magical glitter cream cheese and have it delivered to your door!”

This is also a way to further entrench Facebook users in the site. You already chat with friends, read the news, find out about events, share pictures…now you can order your food too.

At the risk of sounding alarmist, hard pass. First, we like the restaurant experience. Secondly, we like to talk to people who make our food. Lastly, we all need to get off Facebook and just enjoy a meal, don’t you think?

Excuse us while we poll our friends on Facebook.
