Starbucks Releases Two New Drinks with Lady Gaga’s Help (and For a Good Cause!)

Finally, a reason to splurge on Starbucks drinks and feel good about yourself: through June 19 buy one of Starbuck’s new drinks (more on that in a sec) and part of the proceeds will go to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.

The drinks are part of a new Cups of Kindness collection that includes four drinks, two of which are brand spanking new. One is a matcha lemonade (Teavana match agree tea shaken with lemonade and ice) and the other is called the Violet Drink (blackberries with Starbcuks Very Berry Hibiscus Refresher and coconut milk over ice).

The other two colorful drinks are Starbucks favorites: the Pink Drink (Strawberry Acai Refresher with coconut milk and a scoop of strawberries) and the Pink Ombre (a lime refresher with coconut milk and a splash of Passion Tango Tea).   

Until June 19, Starbucks will donate 25 cents from each purchase from the Cups of Kindness collection to the foundation, which works on “programs that support youth wellness and empowerment by fostering kindness, improving mental health resources, and creating more positive environments.”

We couldn’t agree more. So we won’t be the haters we usually are about brightly-colored frapps and whatnot and buy a drink this week.
