Chocolate strawberries have become the modern Valentine’s Day indulgence. A zing of spicy cayenne pepper added to the chocolate will leave your tongue tingling, long after you have left the dinner table.
Last minute dinner get together? If you don’t have time to make these strawberries in advance, simply serve the chocolate dip straight from the microwave as a tabletop fruit fondue. Feel free to add other fruits to your selection, like blackberries, or figs, but be warned that the chocolate coating will slide off of fruit that is on the juicy side, like pineapple or oranges.
As with all chocolate covered fresh fruit, they are best consumed within an hour or two of making them.
