    Pan Dulce de Maiz

    Pan Dulce de Maiz is a moist corn bread that is crisp on the outside and tender on the inside with the perfect amount of sweetness. It's too good to resist.

    stick unsalted butter, melted

    coarse yellow grits

    coconut sugar

    milk

    coconut oil, melted

    teaspoons
    baking powder

    teaspoon
    vanilla
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 400F.
    Combine all ingredients in a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment. Beat until thoroughly combined.
    Pour corn bread batter in an oiled 8x8 inch pan. Bake for 20 minutes, then lower oven temperature to 350F and bake for another 20 minutes, or until golden on top and cooked through.
    Remove from oven and allow to cool completely in pan before serving.
