    Margarita Verde

    This recipe, created by mixologist Anna Morris of NYC's popular Mexicali restaurant Lalo, is a housemade verdita that combines herbs with pineapple, cucumber, and jalapeno. It's the perfect complement to any sweet, tangy dish. 


    Ingredients
    For the Green Base

    pineapple juice

    English cucumber peeled

    celery

    parsley

    cilantro

    sprigs
    Tarragon

    jalapeño
    For the Margarita
    8
    ounces
    Tequila Don Julio Reposado
    5
    ounces
    Triple Sec
    1 1/3
    ounces
    Lime Juice
    5
    ounces
    Green Base
    1

    Cucumber for garnish
    Directions
    Make the green base: In a blender, combine pineapple juice, English cucumber, celery, parsley, cilantro, tarragon and jalapeno. Blend well. Set aside.
    Make the margarita: Combine Tequila Don Julio Reposado, triple sec, lime juice and green base into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well. Strain contents into a rocks glass with fresh ice. Garnish with cucumber slice.
