    Gluten Free Chestnut Cake

    Ideal for people who suffer from gluten allergies, chestnut flour is the base for this multipurpose dessert that highlights the fresh flavors of forest fruits.

    softened butter

    chestnut flour

    whipping cream

    Directions
    Preheat the oven to 320 degrees fahrenheit.
    Mix the butter and the sugar together. Add the eggs one by one to the mixture.
    Combine the chestnuts flour and baking powder together, and add to the mixture.
    Spread the mixture out in a 11-inch baking tin that has been greased and sprinkled with flour.
    Place the baking tin in the oven, covered with foil, and bake for 30 minutes.
    Remove the foil and cook uncovered for 15 minutes. Let cool.
    Whip the cream and sugar until it forms a stiff peak and place in a piping bag.
    Cut the chestnut cake into thin, triangle shaped slices. Top with whipped cream and forest fruit, place a second layer of cake on top, and repeat.
