    Fried Agave Jalapeño Brussels Sprouts

    Crispy brussels sprouts and a spicy agave jalapeño glaze come together in these Fried Agave Jalapeño Brussels Sprouts.


    Ingredients
    Fried Brussels Sprouts

    vegetable oil, for frying
    1
    pound
    brussels sprouts, trimmed, halved and patted dry
    1/4
    cup
    sweet red and yellow peppers, thinly sliced
    *
    coarse salt
    Agave Jalapeño Glaze
    1
    teaspoon
    vegetable oil
    1
    clove
    garlic, minced
    1/3
    cup
    agave
    1
    tablespoon
    lemon juice
    1
    jalapeno, thinly sliced
    Directions
    Heat oil in a deep frying pan to 400F.
    Fry brussels sprouts, in batches, until crisp on edges and browned. About 3-5 minutes. Follow with peppers. Immediately sprinkle with salt.
    Meanwhile, in a small sauce pan combine ingredients for glaze on medium-low heat. Remove from heat once jalapeños are wrinkled and crisp on edges. Whisk and set aside.
    Once brussels are all fried, toss in Agave Jalapeño Glaze and serve.
