    Broiled Agave Bacon Brussels Sprouts

    Broiled Agave Bacon Brussels Sprouts are definitely sweet with a savory kick, making them the perfect accompaniment to any meal.


    Ingredients

    thick cut bacon, diced

    Olive Oil

    yellow onion, thinly sliced

    pound
    brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

    salt and pepper to taste

    agave syrup
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 400 F.
    In a large cast iron skillet on medium heat, sauté bacon until crisp and fat is rendered.
    Add olive oil, yellow onion, brussels sprouts, salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
    Allow brussels to cook, undisturbed, for 5-6 minutes until they begin to brown.
    Transfer to oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
    Once golden brown, remove from oven and drizzle with agave.
    Adjust salt and pepper to taste, then serve hot!
