    Braised Clams with Shrimp and Chorizo

    Serve this in a large bowl with Italian garlic bread.


    Ingredients

    Olive Oil

    cloves
    garlic, minced

    shallots, thinly sliced

    chopped spicy mexican chorizoe

    clams, rinsed

    shrimp, peeled and un-veined

    cup
    white wine

    cups
    bottled clam juice

    tablespoons
    butter

    tablespoon
    chopped fresh herbs (thyme, parsley, rosemary)
    Directions
    In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add garlic, shallots, chorizo, and cook 30 seconds.
    Add clams and shrimp. Add white wine and reduce liquid by half. Add clam juice and cover until all clams open.
    Swirl in butter and herbs.
