On Friday, November 11th, we honor our country's brave men and women by thanking all those, past and present, in uniform.
This Veteran's Day, give back to the service men and women in the special, foodie ways ahead.
1. Take a veteran out for pancakes.
If you happen to be hungry for stack of fluffy pancakes, head to your local IHOP, where veterans will be given a free stack of their famous Red, White and Blue Pancakes. Each stack will be topped with glazed strawberries, blueberry compote and whipped cream for an extra-patriotic breakfast.
4. Indulge in a Brazilian dinner.
Brazilian restaurant Fogo de Chão, which has locations in NYC, Brazil and Puerto Rico, is offering all military men and women 50% off their meal. The restaurant is also giving 10% to the vet's three guests who dine with them.
5. Drink your cafecitos.
As always, big-name coffee chains are jumping on the chance to honor veterans. Starbucks has vowed to give all active duty military (and their spouses!) a free 12 oz. hot brewed coffee. Dunkin Donuts will also be giving one free coffee or donut to all active or retired military personnel on Friday.
