Collectively, Latin food is one of the most widespread cuisines spanning the globe. From Venezuelan arepas to Argentinean chimichurri-marinated steaks, Latin countries around the world have embraced traditional ways to prepare local ingredients to phenomenal result. These recipes stand the test of time, and are passed down from generation to generation becoming family favorites in both their countries of origin and abroad. Whether these dishes inspire you to dig out your old recipe box to compare your abuela’s tenqueños to our version, try a new twist on salsa, or allow you to revisit that empanada-fueled backpacking trip through South America, here are a few of our favorite Latin dishes in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
