Frozen Churros Will Turn Your Dessert Game Up to the Max

The pursuit of the elusive churros you love from the corner señora (who’s never there when you need her) is over. Pillsbury just launched Cinnamon Sugar Churro Bites; they come frozen and are ready to pop in the microwave to enjoy within minutes.

If you’ve never taken on the feat of making homemade churros, you may not understand just how revolutionary this new product is.  The task requires dough rolling, a special machine, a deep fryer, and a lot of patience. Now, thanks to Pillsbury, all that work is made simple, and can be easily used for Chile Chocolate Churros or Churros con Crema y Cajeta. 

Though popular, it is pretty rare to find a shop that specializes in churros, even in Mexico. But when you do, it’s so worth it. Churrerías offer many varieties of this fried pastry filled with all kinds of flavors such as dulce de leche, chocolate and Nutella. Hopefully, these frozen bites will soon come in similar varieties, too.
