Morning Green Juice

Oh, those days. Those days when you feel heavy, your once perfectly-sized clothes barely stretching across your body, the scale blatantly reminding you of the extra weight you're carrying. Those days are the days when you realize you absolutely need to get back on the diet. And though those days can be grey, reaching that level of dissatisfaction is the most compelling stimulus to help you lose those unwanted pounds.

A few months ago, I delivered my second baby and I'm still struggling to return to my baseline weight. (As my scale keeps telling me.) But while breastfeeding, it's advised to avoid strict diets and instead, just eat healthy foods so your baby can do the same. With this in mind, I wanted to create a refreshing, simple, and nutritious recipe that I could whip up daily. The Morning Green Juice was born.

The smoothie is full of leafy greens, sweet fruits (pineapple, apple, kiwi), and a natural sweetener (agave) then topped up with cool mineral water. It packs a punch of the essential nutrients you need without the muss and fuss. And though it's not necessarily low-calorie, it's high in vitamins. This is a perfect recipe for women (or anyone) trying to live a healthier style.
