We're packing our bags and getting ready to head west for the Pacific Northwest's biggest food festival, Feast Portland. We're excited to check out everything Oregon has to offer, try delicious bites for local and not-so-local restaurants, meet artisans, producers, sommeliers, and chefs, and party the night away. But of course, we'll need a home base to relax and post all those mouthwatering pictures. So here's where we'll be checking in!
And for up-to-the-minute info and mouthwatering pictures, make sure to follow us on Twitter and Instagram. You can also follow our founding editor Marie Elena Martinez on Twitter @mariesworlds and Instagram @mariesworld, and if you see her, stop and say hello!

The 331-room, LEED Silver-certified property is located next to bustling Pioneer Square and the central business district, within an easy walk to any attraction you’ll have time for after festival activities. The silver and powder blue decorated rooms are plush and majestic, with soft bedding, 42 inch HDTVs and twice-daily maid service. If you get hungry in between Feast events, there are three restaurants on site, including the Asian-inspired rooftop Departure, The Library Room for cocktails and snacks, and the Urban Farmer steakhouse.
Head to the headquarters of the Ace empire at the quirky Ace Hotel in Portland. Eclectic and thoughtful, the hotel revels in showing off Portland's unique personality through reclaimed furniture, impeccable decor, and Portland must haves (like Stumptown Coffee). Located in the old Clyde Hotel just a block from the famous Powell Books, it’s an easy walk to all of Portland. (Or you can borrow one of the hotel bikes). For breakfast before the festival starts head to, what else but, The Breakfast Room for local, organic, European-style breakfast every morning; for lunch or dinner check out Clyde Common with a communal table and open kitchen; and for drinks, head to the 36-seat Pepe le Moko bar n the hotel basement. The rooms are simple but decked out in locally made and vintage furniture and stocked with hypoallergenic beds.
