If your Pinterest boards reveal what’s truly in your hearts (and they do), y’all have been having some cravings. We’re not here to judge, trust, we’re here cause we want a bite of the weird-o stuff you’ve been cooking up. And according to Pinterest’s new “Foodnited States” map, it’s real real weird.

It’s no shocker that food is Pinterest’s numero uno category (duh) and they took a look around to see what people have pinned in each state to see what’s “over-indexing relative to the rest of the country.” That’s a fancy way of saying they counted up what’s getting pinned more in one state versus another.
You can check out a full map here but why bother when we’ve got the most interesting stats:
– Laid back hipsters in Oregon be pinning “curry.” Curry what? Fish? Chicken? Soup? Green curry? You guys gotta pick something.
– Idaho is pinning “canning.” No comment.
– We got a real Latin trifecta in Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico pinning chiles, carnitas, and empanadas, respectively. We see you, stay strong hermanos.
– Texas is getting fancy with “stuffed avocados.”
– North Dakota is pinning oatmeal bars and we were gonna make a joke about how they probably need the fortification cause they’re out there in the wilderness but that might be true and so we got nothing.
– Down South, Arkansas is pinning Coca-Cola. And we gotta say, we’re intrigued. What can you do with Coca Cola? Is it in baked goods? Used to brine meats? Send us a pin Arkansas!
– Tennessee and Georgia are keepin’ it real, pinning cornbread and chicken wings.
– Sadly, Florida is pinning cake toppers. Hopefully they’re looking for new takes on frosting and not just bedazzled wiry designs. Be better Florida.
– Up the East Coast we got scallops (Maryland), crabs, (Delaware), and a surprise pick in New Jersey, sangria. They know how to party. Have you guys ever watched MTV’s Jersey Shore???
– Pennsylvania is pinning peach schnapps which is not as fancy as New Hampshire, pinning martinis, we gotta say.
– Hawaii is on trend, pinning matcha.
– And finally, Alaska, pinning… survival bread. We don’t know what that is but it sounds appropriate. God speed.
