Snail mail is about to get a whole ‘lot tastier.
USPS has confirmed new stamp themes for 2017, and among them are Delicioso Forever stamps. The Latin food-themed stamps celebrate “the influence of Central and South American, Mexican and Caribbean foods on American cuisine.”
The six stamp options show favorite Latin dishes – including tamales, flan, sancocho, empanadas, chile relleno and ceviche. USPS explains that the dishes were chosen based on the idea that they have “found new life and variations in the United States.” And we’re glad they have, considering these dishes have had a place on Latinos’ dinner tables (and in their hearts) for centuries past.
The stamps were designed by artist John Parra, under the direction of Antonio Alcalá. See all the soon-to-be delicious stamps here!
