The Obamas Know Just What to Order at Enrique Olvera’s Cosme

A president is only as strong as his taco order.

Luckily, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama passed the test last night in the Big Apple. The couple dined at Enrique Olvera’s Cosme – of course, rolling up in a 13-car motorcade.

One of Olvera’s chefs was smart enough to snap a picture of the couple’s receipt – and even more brilliant to upload it to Instagram for us all to see exactly what they ordered. The lengthy receipt included all of Olvera’s acclaimed dishes such as tuna tostadas, blue shrimp, lobster, burrata, red mole, carnitas and more. (They forgot the cocktails, but we’ll let them slide…)

The couple has already showed off their high-class taste buds and food knowledge in the past, so heading to the esteemed Mexican chef’s location was a breeze. Earlier this year, we saw the first lady make healthy tacos with a group of excited students. More recently, too, Mr. President enjoyed Vietnamese food with Anthony Bourdain in Hanoi’s “old quarter”.

Who says politicians aren’t cool?
