Looking to curb an enchilada craving? Look no further than high-end retail store Neiman Marcus.
The store, commonly known for its fashionable women’s wear, shoes and handbags, has begun selling numerous food options. The list includes a 72-count box of tamales, a dozen enchiladas, smoked chili pepper and chicken flautas, endless appetizer options and much more. Though frozen, the dishes seem hold their own against meal delivery services and other competitors. The enchiladas, for instance, are topped with an ancho chili pepper sauce, and come complete with heating and serving instructions.
Previously, the brand only sold fancy gold-leafed chocolates and other small sweets. Don’t expect to get these Mexican favorites as a freebie when buying a new handbag, though. The dishes are pricey – the tamales ring up close to $100, plus shipping.
Though tempting, we’ll continue knocking on abuela’s door for the classics.
