We’re in Chicago, taking in the sights, the sounds, and of course, the food! We swung by one of Chicago’s most fun and delicious Latin spots, Big Star, to chat with chef de cuisine, Tom Van Lente. And do a little taste test of course.
So what’s Big Star all about? They dish up central Mexican Oaxacan cuisine with a dash of California food truck, laid-back, relaxed attitude, said Van Lente. And there’s also a Southern twist: Big Star has a huge and impressive collection of hard-to-find and rare bourbon and whiskey, which they’ll help you pair with your tacos.
