Chef Seamus Mullen is expanding his empire of Spanish cuisine: Eater reports the chef is opening El Comado Butchery in the Meatpacking neighborhood of New York City.

Mullen, the chef and owner of tapas hot spot Tertulia in the West Village, already operates an El Comado tapas bar at the West Gotham Market, so it stands to reason that the new spot will have a similar menu of shared small plates (ham croquettes, prawns a la plancha, lamb meatballs) and, according to The New York Times, it will also sell prepared foods to go.

This is the third spot Mullen is reportedly opening. He's planning his first overseas restaurant at the Mondrian London at Sea Containers, a gorgeous property overlooking the Thames. The food there will be a slight departure from Mullen's traditional Spanish cuisine, and as he told Eater, it will be influenced by the Mediterranean and New York City and will use as much produce as possible from nearby Borough Market.

It also looks like Mullen is opening up a farm-to-table dining concept at the Pierhouse, a massive Brooklyn development (though Mullen hasn't confirmed that).

All this means is that there will be plenty more places to eat if you can't get in to Tertulia.
