Host of the public television series Pati's Mexican Table, cooking teacher, food writer and official Chef of the Mexican Cultural Institute in Washington, DC, Patricia Jinich was born and raised in Mexico City but has resided in the Washington, DC area for the past 12 years, where she and her husband are raising their three young boys. After moving north, Patricia served as a political analyst and completed a Master's degree in Latin American Studies at Georgetown University, but left her policy work to pursue her lifelong passions: to research, write about, test and cook Mexican food. She launched her blog, Pati’s Mexican Table, to be able to share her work and food-related writing andstories. Spring 2013 will see the launch of her first cookbook,Pati's Mexican Table (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).

Pati has appeared as a guest on The FoodNetwork, NBC's The Today Show, CBS, CNN en Español, ABC's The Chew, FOX News, NPR and The Splendid Table. She has also been featured inThe Washington Post, The New York Times, and The Examiner. Pati has additionally hosted live programs for The Smithsonian Associates and Meridian International Center, as well as cooked at the Blair House, the official guesthouse for the President of the United States
