New York City, Ferran Adria is in you.
The world-famous chef and culinary think-tank director landed in New York earlier this week to open the first Stateside showing of his exhibit, “Ferran Adria: Notes on Creativity,” which had an earlier iteration in Barcelona from February 2012 until March 2013 under the title, "Ferran Adria & elBulli, 1961-2011: Risk, Freedom & Creativity.” Adria also enjoyed a public tete-a-tete with Dan Barber of Blue Hill and Blue Hill at Stone Barns at New Museum last night, an event that was full to capacity.
Adria's New York show opens with a public reception tonight from 6-8 pm and runs through February 28 at The Drawing Center, located at 35 Wooster Street in Manhattan.
Despite frigid weather that's recently kept many New Yorkers hunkered inside their apartments, the gallery is anticipating the show will be hugely popular and well-attended, and has announced that it will close from 2-4 pm on Saturday, January 25, the first full day of the exhibit, due to “capacity concerns.”
TLK was on hand for a preview of the exhibit, which was introduced by none other than Adria himself. Click through to see what's in store at this fantastic show.
