Calabaza en Tacha or Pumpkin in Syrup is a traditional boiled sweet that is commonly seen at Day of the Dead celebrations. During the autumn, when pumpkins begin to make their appearance at our produce stands, small sweet pumpkins for pies can most commonly be found. High in sugar and water content, pie pumpkins are great for making calabaza en tacha.
