    Spiced Cranberry Sauce

    Toss the can and make fresh Spiced Cranberry Sauce. Cranberries are paired with cayenne, ancho chile and panela for a sauce that is finally worthy of your table and your tastebuds.


    Ingredients

    fresh cranberries (12 ounces)
    3/4
    cup
    grated panela (or 1/2 cup sugar)
    1
    cup
    orange juice
    1/4
    teaspoon
    ground ancho chile
    1/2
    teaspoon
    cayenne
    1
    teaspoon
    chopped mint
    Directions
    In a pan on medium-high heat add cranberries, panela, orange juice, ancho chile and cayenne.
    Cook until cranberries pop and sauce becomes thick, stirring consistently for about 10 minutes.
    Remove from heat and transfer to a serving dish.
    Allow to cool to room temperature.
    Garnish with chopped mint. Serve.
