Sol Fliman’s Pear Salad

Toss up your salad routine with this light and seasonal pear salad made with caramelized pear, crunchy pomegranate seeds, and toasted walnuts. 



Ingredients

mixed greens

pears
1
tablespoon
unsalted butter

tablespoon
mild flavored oil

tablespoons
granulated sugar

seeds of 1 pomegranate
6
ounces
crumbled blue cheese
1/2
cup
toasted walnuts, quartered
Directions
Wash and dry the greens.
Peel, core and cut each of the pears in 8 slices
Sauté the pears in a pan over medium heat with butter and oil until they start to brown. Add the sugar and allow them to caramelize.
On a bed of lettuce, place the pears, and sprinkle with the pomegranate seeds, blue cheese and walnuts.
