    Mixed Berry Pot Pie

    Pot pies come in sweet flavors too you know! This pot pie is stuffed with a tart mixed berry filling and then baked in pie crust until warmed through and golden. Serve with vanilla ice cream. Or fresh whipped cream. Or both.


    Ingredients

    mixed berriers

    plus 2 teaspoons cinnamon, dvided

    vanilla extract

    boxes store bought pie crust dough

    tablespoon
    brown sugar
    Directions
    Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
    Add mixed berries, ½ cup of water water, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon, and vanilla extract into a sauce pan over medium- low heat. Cook berries stirring occasionally until the berries have burst and the sauce has thickened about 10 minutes.
    Break off small pieces of crust and press it into the bottom and up the sides of your mason jars. Add in the berry mixture to each prepared mason jar leaving about an inch empty at the top.
    Roll your remaining dough into pieces large enough to cover the tops of your mason jar. Add prepared tops to each mason jar. Sprinkle the tops with cinnamon and brown sugar.
    Bake at 425 degrees for 15-20 minutes until the tops of the dough are browned.
