    Microwave Maná

Maná are sweet bites of goodness. They have this really nice marzipan texture, only smoother. They’re made with only 4 ingredients but its taste excels beyond any other sweet bite that you can have. Usually they cooked in a pot while stirring for a long while. However, my godmother taught me years ago how to make them in the microwave! And it seriously cuts a lot of time from the preparation. And yes, the taste is as good.

    Ingredients
    4
    egg yolks
    4
    ounces
    evaporated milk
    2/3
    cup
    sugar
    1/4
    cup
icing sugar for kneading, as needed
    Directions
Dissolve the sugar into the evaporated milk on medium heat.
In another bowl, whisk the egg yolks to break them and then add about a third the hot milk and whisk really fast to make sure the egg yolk doesn't create any lumps as it cooks. Then add the rest of the milk and mix.
Put the mixture into the microwave in a deep microwave-safe bowl (as it boils up and we don't want it to overflow). Microwave in 2 min intervals and mix it up every time it comes out.
After 6 min use a whisk and mix fast to see the texture it's getting at. It should look like a really thick pancake mix.
Transfer it to another bowl and let cool in the fridge for about 2 hours.
Put the mix on top of a table dusted with icing sugar and knead adding more icing sugar on top. When the dough stops sticking to your fingers, stop adding sugar.
Make them into balls and dust with extra icing sugar on top.
