    Macuá Nicaraguan Rum Cocktail

    The Macuá originated in 1996 in Nicaragua’s capital of Managua as part of a tourism competition to appoint a national cocktail. With Flor de Caña rum, guava, lemon, and orange juice it is no surprise it is still enjoyed today!


    Ingredients
    1 1/2
    ounces
    Flor de Caña Dry Rum
    1
    ounce
    guava juice
    1
    ounce
    lemon juice
    1/2
    ounce
    orange juice
    1/2
    ounce
    simple syrup
    *
    orange slice, garnish
    Directions
    Fill a cocktail shaker half way with ice and add rum, guava juice, lemon juice, orange juice, and simple syrup.
    Shake for 25 seconds.
    Serve in a Collins glass filled with ice.
    Garnish the glass with an orange slice.
