Jalapeño Tater Totchos

Tater Totchos are inspired by nachos, a timeless Superbowl party classic that originated in the northern region of Mexico. Here, Chef Tim Gashi of The Burgary in NYC, replaced tortilla chips with tater tots to combine the nostalgia of a childhood lunch time favorite with a classic Mexican snack.

spicy cheddar cheese sauce

canned black beans, warmed

Directions
Heat a large pot of canola oil to 375 degrees – deep fry tater tots until golden brown about 4-5 minutes. Remove tater tots from oil and toss salt and pepper to taste.
White tater tots are frying, melt and heat 1/3 cup of spicy cheddar cheese sauce.
In a large bowl, lawyer tater tots, drizzle with cheddar cheese sauce, black beans, pico de gallo, and jalapeno. Garnish with cilantro.
