This is a
michelada for those that aren’t a fan of the heavier tomato base. This Jalapeno
Lime Michelada, often called a Chelada, has a beer and lime base with cilantro
and spicy jalapeno to top it off.
12-ounce bottles Mexican-style light beers, such as Tecate or Cerveza Clara
fresh lime juice
jalapeno, thinly sliced
Mix the beer and lime juice in a large pitcher with 1 cup of ice.
Use the lime wedges to coat the rims of six pint glasses and dip in the salt to coat.
Pour the lime and beer mixture over ice in the pint glasses. Garnish with jalapeno slices and cilantro.
