    Hand-Mashed Guacamole

    Guacamole is a well loved dish perfect for casual entertaining or a messy taco night with the family. Here, the World Wine Guys share their own version from The Fire Island Cookbook.

    avocados
    3
    plum tomatoes, finely diced
    3
    tablespoons
    chopped fresh cilantro
    1
    small red onion, finely diced
    2
    limes
    1
    teaspoon
    tabasco sauce
    1
    teaspoon
    salt
    1/2
    teaspoon
    finely ground black pepper
    Directions
    Halve the avocados lengthwise, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a glass bowl.
    Add the tomatoes, cilantro, and onion. Squeeze the limes into a small sieve and add the juice to the bowl along with the Tabasco, salt, and pepper.
    Using a large-tined fork, mash the contents of the bowl into a medium- to large-chunked guacamole.
    Serve immediately.
