Garlic Habanero BBQ Sauce

Toss that store bought BBQ sauce and crank up the heat with homemade Garlic Habanero BBQ Sauce. Fresh, bright habanero peppers are sautéed with garlic, sweet carrots and a splash of orange juice making a sauce that has plenty of heat, with a little bit of sweet.

Olive Oil

carrots, peeled

garlic, thickly sliced

orange juice

kosher salt

teaspoon
apple cider vinegar
Directions
Wash and dry habanero peppers. Remove stem and add to food processor.
Heat the olive oil in a skillet set over medium heat. Using a vegetable peeler, peel carrot into ribbons. Add ribbons and garlic to pan.
Cook until the garlic is tender and carrots are crisp on edges. Remove from the heat.
Transfer to the food processor with the orange juice, salt and vinegar. Process mixture until smooth.
