Dulce de Leche Banana Bread

What could be better than a fresh, out of the oven banana bread? Dulce de Leche Banana Bread! Classic banana bread is swirled with creamy, luscious dulce de leche adding a Latin twist to an American favorite. And though you can mix this up by hand, we suggest using one of our favorite stand mixers to make quick work of it all. 


Ingredients

butter, unsalted and softened

sugar

whole wheat flour

all-purpose flour

teaspoons
baking powder
1/2
teaspoon
baking soda
1/2
teaspoon
salt

ripe bananas, mashed
1/2
cup
soy milk
1
teaspoon
vanilla
1/3
cup
dulce de leche
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease loaf pan(s) and set aside.
In bowl of stand mixer cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
In a separate bowl sift or thoroughly mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add mashed banana, soy milk, and vanilla to butter. Mix on low until combined.
Slowly add dry ingredients into wet ingredients, 1/3 at a time. Mix on low until mixture is moist and all ingredients are thoroughly combined. Do not over mix.
Using a spatula fold dulce de leche into bread dough. Fill greased loaf pan(s) with dough until 3/4 full.
Bake for 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the middle of the loaf comes out clean.
