    Chilled Guava & Pomegranate Tea

    Chilled Guava & Pomegranate Tea is refreshingly tart and slightly sweet thanks to fresh pomegranate seeds, guava and a kiss of honey.


    Ingredients

    cup
    guava paste
    1/2
    cup
    honey
    2
    slices lemon
    8
    sprigs fresh mint, divided
    4
    sprigs fresh basil, divided
    *
    ice cubes
    1
    pomegranate, cut in half with seeds removed
    Directions
    In medium saucepan over medium heat, combine guava paste, honey, and 4 cups water. Bring to simmer. (Use wooden spoon to break up and dissolve paste.) Remove from heat.
    Stir in lemon slices, 4 sprigs mint, and 2 sprigs basil. Cover and chill in refrigerator 15 minutes.
    Once chilled, strain and pour tea into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with remaining mint, basil sprigs, and pomegranate seeds.
