Chili Chocolate Cake Truffles

For more chocolate flavor—this time with cake—try Chili Chocolate Cake Truffles, made with chili chocolate ganache, and chocolate cake rolled in a cacao-chili powder.

plain chocolate cupcakes

chili chocolate ganache

chili powder

teaspoon
ground cinnamon

Directions
In a food processor pulse cupcakes to small crumbs. Fold crumbs minus 1/4 cup into chocolate ganache until combined.
Place 1/4 cup of crumbs in one bowl, and the chili and cacao mixture in the other. Mix powders to combine.
Using one tablespoon at a time, roll mixture into a small ball and roll in the chili-cacao mixture and immediately roll in the cake crumbs and set aside. Repeat process with the remaining cupcake-ganache mixture.
For presentation, when plating add a few chilis to let diners know what is in store!
