    Almond Malta Crackers

    Almond Malta Crackers are nutty, herby, and slightly sweet thanks to almond meal, black pepper, lemon peel, and Malta soda.


    Ingredients
    1
    rounded cup almond meal
    1
    pinch salt
    1/2
    tablespoon
    black pepper
    1/4
    tablespoon
    ground lemon peel
    1/2
    tablespoon
    cinnamon
    1/4
    tablespoon
    cardamom
    3
    tablespoons
    Malta soda
    3
    tablespoons
    coconut oil, melted
    Directions
    Preheat oven to 350F. Line baking sheet with baking mat and set aside.
    In a bowl combine all ingredients. Mix until throughly combined.
    Place mixture onto baking mat and cover with a sheet of plastic wrap in the same size.
    Using a rolling pin, roll out dough to 1/8 inch thick. Remove plastic from dough.
    Using pizza wheel, ravioli wheel or paring knife, slice crackers to desired size. Using a fork, poke holes into each cracker.
    Transfer cracker to oven and bake for 20 minutes, or until golden and fragrant. Using a spatula, turn crackers over and bake for another 20 minutes, or until crisp.
    Allow to cool completely on baking sheet before serving.
