Treat yourself to a decadent and luxurious dessert with Agave Fried Figs. Fresh figs are sautéed in a buttery agave sauce with a pinch of cinnamon and dash of black pepper making an irresistibly sinful dish. For a sweet and savory meal, try serving these figs with a pork roast or chops instead of applesauce.

    Ingredients
    15
    fresh figs
    2
    tablespoons
    agave syrup
    1
    tablespoon
    butter
    1
    tablespoon
    coconut oil
    1/4
    teaspoon
    ground cinnamon
    1/8
    teaspoon
    fresh cracked black peper
    Directions
Rinse figs and pat dry. Snip off stems and cut lengthwise. Set aside.
In a skillet set over medium-high heat combine the agave, butter, coconut oil, cinnamon, and black pepper.
Once the mixture is bubbling, add the figs cut side down. Spoon the sauce over the figs, ensuring each is well coated.
Cook until the mixture thickens and the figs begin to brown and caramelize around the edges.
Spoon onto plates and serve with alongside chicken or pork for a savory dish or with a scoop of ice cream for dessert.
