    Acelgas en Crema (Creamed Swiss Chard)

    medium onion, chopped

    celery stalk, chopped

    jalapeño pepper, chopped

    swiss chard, stalks and leaves sliced crosswise into strips
    salt and freshly ground black pepper
    1/2
    cup
    half-and-half
    4 1/2
    cups
    eggs
    1/2
    cup
    shredded swiss cheese
    Directions
    In a saucepan, heat butter. Add onion, celery, and jalapeño and cook to soften.
    Add Swiss chard, stir to mix, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cover and simmer over low heat until chard is tender, about 10 minutes.
    Stir in half-and-half and Swiss cheese and cook until cheese is bubbling.
