Eliana Ramos is living the sweet life as author of A Chica Bakes – a blog that explores her baking adventures sprinkled with a little bit of life and Latin Flair. A Dominican-American, born and raised in New York City’s Washington Heights, the self-taught baker grew up in a household surrounded by good food prepared by her mother, a spectacular cook. As a child, Eliana’s summers were spent in the Dominican Republic where her uncles are farmers and taught her where her food comes from. Once she moved out on her own, she realized her passion for baking and decided to chronicle her experiences via A Chica Bakes. Her virtual kitchen quickly grew a following, which has led to a feature in the New York Daily News, as well as various other writing assignments. Eliana currently resides in Brooklyn, NY with her husband, Barney, and dog, Kingston.
