The hit Bravo TV show, Top Chef, is welcoming new participants into its kitchens: Telemundo will be premiering Top Chef Estrellas on Sunday, February 16 at 8pm. The show, a take on the original Bravo reality series, features Latin celebrities competing for the culinary thumbs up from popular Latin chefs.
Shot in New Orleans on the same set as this season's Top Chef, the show will see eight Latin stars cooking and competing to raise money for their favorite charities.
It will be hosted by actress Aylin Mujica. Sitting at the judges’ table will be chefs Lorena Garcia, Jaime Martin Del Campo, and Ramiro Arvisu. Unlike Top Chef, Estrella's participants, all of whom are vying for charitable cash prizes totaling $100,000, are not sent home when eliminated. Instead, they become sous chefs for the remaining stars.
In the kitchen will be: Nancy Alvarez, Fernando Arau, Christina Chavez, David Cocarro, Erika de la Rosa, Lorena Herrera, Cynthia Olavarria. Who do you think will win?
