Argentina is taking over Brooklyn for two
nights with the Cambalache Wines of
Argentina
,
 happening April 16 and 17.

Cambalache, which means bazaar in Spanish, is
used in Argentina to describe “something that is chaotic, haphazard, full of contrast and
contradiction and above all exciting—epitomizing the heart and soul of the
country.” This interactive event is a chic new
way to experience the culture of Argentina with wine, food, dancing, and art—all those passionate elements of
Argentine, together in one night.

Hosted in the Brooklyn Night Bazaar space,
the event includes more than 120 Argentine wines from 26 of the country’s top
wineries; genuine Buenos Aires street food and dessert; and classic Argentine
cocktails.

And while you’re having a bite and a nightcap,
you can check out three of Argentina’s most popular street artists creating a
live mural; catch a lesson in Buenos Aires street slang from James Bracken,
author of Che Boludo; music from DJ
Uproot Andy, spinning bass-filled South American tunes; watch a Nuevo Tango
show; and chat with Argentine Gauchos.

If you happen to attend on the 17th,
get ready for an extra raucous night: it’s Malbec World Day and this year’s theme
is Malbec Making Noise.

Tickets are $80 and include all you can eat
and drink, from 6 pm to 11 pm. And included in your Cambalache
ticket is the chance to two tickets to Buenos Aires on Aerolineas Argentina
plus a three-night stay at the Pan Americano Hotel. Winners will be announced
each night at 9 pm. Get your tickets here.
