Where to Watch World Cup in Miami

Miami, the World Cup has arrived: where will you be watching? After four long years, the soccer championship is back and everyone, from coast to coast, is riveted. You've picked out your jersey, you have your good luck charm, one question remains: where will you be rooting your favorite team as they kick it to win it? To help you out, we’ve rounded up some local spots sorted by country, so you don’t find yourself in a taqueria rooting for Espana or a taperia rooting for Argentina. Buena suerte!

If you're rooting for Spain, go to: Bulla 

Spain has some big shoes to fill – their own. Bulla is giving the defending champions the recognition they deserve by broadcasting La Furia Roja on a projector in their indoor/outdoor open bar area, as well as all other games. Get your grub on with a three-course pre fixe menu for $33 per person, specifically designed for the World Cup. Three courses not enough? Don’t fret, there are about 50 other tapas to pick from. Go for some huevos bulla (organic egg, homemade potato chips, Serrano ham) and be prepared to have a die-hard futbol fan play a saxophone every time la madre patria scores un golazo. Ole!

If youre rooting for Brazil, go to: Boteco

You’ll find a little state of Brazil at this bodiga (Portuguese for bodega) that’s sure to be slammed with Brazilians who wish they were cheering their team on from the frontlines. On Brazil game days, a DJ a will play before, during, and after the action while you sip on a caipirinha. If it happens to be a Saturday, don’t forego the feijoada (a stew of beans, beef and pork).

This authentic Mexican cantina in Brickell doubles as a sports bar, making it your go-to spot for all games where your fellow compadres are playing. With half off all alcohol and beer and one dollar bar bites at every table everyday from 4-8 p.m., it’s worth watching any and every game, whether Mexico is playing or not. Just don’t let anyone catch you. A total of eight TVs, two of which are 80”, will be showing the game in high definition, so you can see the ball as clearly as the colossal sized burrito in front of you.

Colombian food, Colombian beer, and Colombian people make Baru a home away from home for Colombianos, World Cup or not. Drinks are half priced during happy hour (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and appetizers include chicharrones, tequenos, and croquetas de yucca for just $6. The only real problem here is not having a place to sit, as this place gets real packed real fast. Luckily, there are three locations – Midtown, Doral, and Brickell – all broadcasting games on multiple big screen TVs and projectors with a sound system that doesn’t disappoint.

All bets and rules are off at this otherwise sophisticated Argentine steakhouse. All four Graziano’s locations will relinquish their usual daily break and stay open all day through the 64 games of the world cup. Serious fans come here for a large parrillada mixta that will feed the hungriest of groups craving different cuts of meat for $34. To wash it down, one-dollar draft beer, half off wine, and two-for-one drinks are being offered.
