As you likely know, TLK spent an incredible weekend in June in the glorious Colorado Rockies, running around picturesque Aspen, eating and drinking our faces off at the Food & Wine Classic! But in addition to the eating and drinking, we got to catch up with our favorite culinary personalities, one of which was Richard Sandoval, the prolific restaurateur whose eateries span the globe from New York to Denver to Serbia (yes, really!) and Dubai!

Now, he’s slated to take a turn with his knives on the latest series of Top Chef Masters, which airs on Bravo on July 24th (National Tequila Day, fittingly…). With rumors of a “Latin American Eataly” in the works in Chicago, we couldn’t resist catching up with the affable Sandoval, to talk about all things Latin food, his dedication to taking our beloved cuisine global, and of course, the intimidation factor of the Quickfire Challenge.

Top Chef Masters premieres on Bravo on Wednesday, July 24th at 10 PM EST. And, of course, we’re rooting for Chef Sandoval.
