Fresh Takes on 4th of July Foods

4 Spot BBQ for Fourth of July
    Carolyng Gomes

Forget the fireworks, this Fourth of July let your food take center stage! This Indepdendence Day, banish the hot dogs and hamburgers (though we love those too!) and instead whip up a Latin-inspired bbq menu that everyone will ooh and ahh over.

Kick off your party with a zesty Green Pea Guacamole appetizer. For this sweeter and heartier version, tender spring peas are mashed with avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, and fresh lime juice. Perfect to enjoy with chips or smother on a burger bun, this guacamole will become your favorite go-to recipe.

To serve alongside your favorite grilled dishes, whip up Three Cheese Habanero Grilled Potatoes. Roasted potatoes are grilled, then stuffed with goat cheese, mozzarella, and habanero jack cheese and baked to a gooey perfection!

Then heat up the grill for savory and sweet Spicy Mango Chicken Wings. A thick sauce made from mango, coriander, ground chipotle, and lime juice is slathered on salt and pepper wings, then baked until golden.

And finally, no bbq is complete without a pasta salad. With mini heirloom tomatoes, green onion, and chipotles in adobo our Creamy Chipotle Pasta Salad is a spicy hit.
